Kumbha Mela Tour, Feb 2013 – Kirtan with Vish & Vrinda from The Mayapuris and Yoga with Gopi Kinnicutt!
Kirtan-exponents Vish and Vrinda from The Mayapuris join forces with yoga-teacher Gopi Kinnicutt to create a unique and magical tour to India in time for the Maha Kumbha Mela, which happens only every twelve years. The Kumbha Mela is the largest gathering of people on Earth where millions of people come together to dip into the water of three holy rivers. If you are even just a little bit curious about bhakti-yoga or India, this tour is tailored for you. Vish and Vrinda are lifelong bhakti-yogis with a strong India connection. They have both lived and studied extensively in India. Gopi has taken several successful tours to India in the past. Together this dynamic team will facilitate a profound experience in this pilgrimage retreat to India.
The retreat has been uniquely designed to bring the participants not just to India but to a deep experience of the self. We start in Vrindavan, the heart-altar for bhakti-yogis, continue onto Kumbha Mela, and end at an eco-village spa outside Mumbai. You will be guided towards a greater understanding of each place, its significance and history. With Vish’s impassioned devotional music, Vrinda’s spellbinding dancing and Gopi’s rejuvenating yoga, the experience is designed to take you to a deep place within.
Vrindavan, Kumbha Mela, Mumbai (Govardhana Eco-village and the Elephanta caves).
